1. Photograph
Quality & Content
How can I ensure the best quality of photograph?
If you are using a digital camera we recommend setting your
camera to the maximum/best resolution.
If you are scanning a photograph we recommend setting the
scanner at 'high quality' or change the scan resolution to
300 dpi (dots per inch.)
Please remember 'the better the quality of the image - the
better the quality of the finished product'
Can I upload photographs from my mobile phone?
Yes you can.
However please be aware that these photographs are unlikely
to be as high quality as photographs taken by a digital camera.
Below is an example of the difference in image quality between
an average digital camera and an average mobile phone camera.

Can I upload photographs from the Internet?
If the images are royalty free and of a high resolution,
yes.
Photographs published on the Internet are mostly very small
and carry a low resolution. When stretched to fit the calendar
photo area, the image will appear broken and unclear.
However there are certain websites that stock ‘royalty
free’ images that are available to purchase (usually
relatively inexpensive). If you are purchasing one of these
images ensure you request the ‘medium’ size for
the best print quality.
Images that carry royalties possess a copyright that belongs
to the photographer, and their reproduction is illegal. Please
do not upload these types of images.
Does Picture Perfect accept ALL photographs?
No, we do not accept photographs of an explicit, violent or
illegal nature. Please see our Terms & Conditions for
further details about what we do not accept.
Your photograph must also be in keeping with the Copyright
Law:
If you wish to use an image, you must hold the copyright (i.e.
you must have taken or created the image yourself) or you
must have the permission of the owner of the copyright to
use their image. We reserve the right to refuse any order,
should we believe that it would infringe the copyright law.
Posting Your Photographs
We are happy to accept digital or hard copy photographs in the post. We recommend that you put them in an envelope marked DO NOT BEND and send it as a Recorded Delivery to ensure they do not get lost.
We do our very best to return your photos to you. However we can not guarantee the postal service reliability and occasionally posted items are misplaced so please do make copies beforehand.
Please include your details in the envelope with your photo/s.
Calendar Orders via Post:
If you are sending hard copies of your photos please mark each with the month you want it to appear in your calendar.
If you are sending a disk of digital photos please ensure each image is saved as the month it is to be shown.
Please provide us with your special dates by email (info@pictureperfectuk.com) or on a piece of paper with your photos (written in BLOCK CAPITALS).

private space that allows you to upload a photograph at a

How long does it take to upload a photograph?
It depends on the size of the file. The larger the file, the
longer it will take. If it has taken more than 2 minutes to
upload an image you might want to try again or select a different
image as it might be too large to upload.

Digital Frames
4. An Introduction to Digital
Frames
Digital photo frames are the latest innovation to allow a
simple and delightful way to access and view your digital
photos. We all now have these stored and largely unseen on
memory cards, computers, digital cameras and telephones. The
digital frame is a unique way of displaying those pictures
that mean so much – whether in your home or your office.
Instead of setting just one photo in a traditional frame,
the Digital Frame with its sharp LCD screen and clever electronics,
allows you to show hundreds of photos – continuously
scrolling in a slide-show of memories – easy to configure
and update.

5. Using your Digital
Frame
How do I use my digital photo frame?
They are designed to be driven by inserting a memory card
or stick. Typically the frames accept a wide variety of the
most common memory cards and many additionally accept USB
sticks. Simply insert one of the accepted cards into the frame,
loaded with your photos, and a slide-show of the pictures
will automatically begin. You can adjust settings like the
speed and style of transition between pictures.
How do I update the memory card?
By far the easiest way to add and delete images on your memory
card is via the PC. Typically you would copy your photos from
camera or telephone into your pictures folder on the PC. You
can then view them, crop them edit them and put them into
an order of play that you like. Now you want to copy this
folder – ideally onto a fresh memory card. You can do
this in several ways: Does your PC have built in memory card
reader? If so, insert card and copy the picture files to this
drive.Use your camera as a memory card writer. Insert fresh
memory card in camera connected to PC. Copy your picture selection
back onto camera. Then remove card If you would like more
flexibility with different card types, buy a simple multi-card
reader (£8.95 on this website) and connect via USB to
your computer. This allows you to copy between your PC and
17 different types of memory card – effectively becoming
an additional storage device in “My Computer”
What else can the Digital Photo Frame do?
Most frames have built in stereo speakers and will play MP3
music files. This allows you to store music on the memory
card. Then in slide-show mode you can set pictures running
with one or a variety of tracks playing as background music
– or simply use the device as a music player.Additionally
they all play video files (check individual manual) –
mostly MPEG’s. You can store short video clips and scenes
on the memory card and play these continually or on demand.

6. Troubleshooting Guide
Does the Digital Picture Frame have built-in memory?
No. The Digital Picture Frame does not have any internal memory
to store your files. You must use a compatible memory card
to play your Media files.
Can I insert multiple memory cards?
Yes. Turn off the unit before you insert any card. The screen
will show what types of memory cards are in the slots. Use
the remote control to select the memory card.
What is the maximum picture size?
The Digital Picture Frame is able to display pictures up to
12 Mega Pixels.
What is the best picture resolution displayed on the screen?
The frame’s best resolution is 640 x 480.
Does it play every type of AVI and or MPEG4 videos?
No. The device only works with the avi/mpeg4 files taken by
most digital cameras.
Can I rotate a picture on the screen?
Yes. Use the ROTATE button on the remote control to rotate
a picture. Note: The rotated picture will return to its original
orientation after you power down the Digital Picture Frame.
You will need to edit the picture on your PC if you want to
permanently change the orientation.
If I keep showing the same photo for a long time, will it
damage the LCD screen?
No. The Digital Picture Frame can display the same photo continuously
for 1,000 hours without causing damage to its LCD screen.
How do I store music files?
First, use a personal computer and popular audio editing software
to convert your music toMP3 format. The Digital Picture Frame
will only play MP3 files so all Windows Media Player™
and / or iTunes™ files will have to be converted first.
You can use a card reader or your digital camera to transfer
those files to your memory card.
How come the Digital Picture Frame does not show some
of my photos?
The Digital Picture Frame is designed to show photos following
the same camera industry standards format as digital cameras.
This format is a JPEG format. Images, such as web images,
scanned images, or photos in RAW format, are not stored according
to camera industry standards and therefore cannot be displayed
correctly on the Digital Picture Frame. Please use your PC
applications to convert such images into standard JPEG format
before viewing them on the Digital Picture Frame.
Can I switch between different photos by using different
memory cards?
Yes. When you connect your memory cards to the Digital Photo
Frame, it will display photos, music and video files stored
on that specific card that are in the required format. You
can even switch between different card reader formats to view
different pictures.
The unit can not read my memory card although there are some
photos or mp3 inside and states: “No media connected”
Verify if the way you inserted the card is correct. Make sure
the front label of the memory card is facing AWAY from you.
Do not force the memory card into the slot. Ensure that the
inserted memory card is compatible with your digital photo
frame by checking the list of supported cards in the manual.
The screen is blank and completely dark.
This is a power supply problem. Check power switch is on,
on the side of the frame. Check the connections and try another
wall-socket to verify that you have mains supply. If this
fails you probably need a replacement power adaptor
How can I make my photos automatically start displaying when
I switch on?
This is the default factory setting and can be accessed via
setup; slide show setup; select Auto-start; Exit.
Why is the video shown on the screen in small size
and not full screen?
Most digital camera take video in 320x240 or lower resolution.
The best supported resolution of a photo or video is 640x480.
Use the Zoom button on the remote control to enlarge it.
I have tried everything I can see in the manual, but cannot
get my digital photo frame to function properly.
